Motherhood is…tough love
It’s not just the ‘terrible twos’ of the toddler but all those years when we’re putting on a desperate show of mostly mock anger. Putting kids in corners, grounding them for a week, enforcing curfews, taking away Pepsi n chips, forcing spinach n veggies down their throats… The boundaries we’ve laid down get breached. Discipline has to be enforced. This is the hard part of parenting.

Motherhood is…reaping a harvest of masti and mischief
Mark Twain sums it all up:
‘Be respectful of your superiors if you have any, also to
strangers and sometimes to others. If a person offends you and you are in doubt
as to whether it was intentional or not, do not resort to extreme measures.
Simply watch your chance and hit him with a brick.’

Moterhood is...dreaming of one world

The last words Sri Sarada Devi spoke before
she gave up her body are: 'No one is a stranger my dear. Learn to make the whole world your
own.'..... Pic shared courtesy: Unite Women's Org

Motherhood is………holding your heart in your arms
There is a line in ‘Macbeth:’ ‘Methinks I heard a voice cry, “Sleep no more!” I think it applies more to mothers with babes in their arms than to people suffering from a guilty conscience. If you've been blessed with twins like me, you know what I mean...No sleep...For months!
